My '07 XL883; pretty much standard apart from the bars and 13.5" rear shocks. Great bike.

For sure. Much different than last year... soggy and cold April/May.

Lighting and conditions worked out, along with some HDR imaging techniques. What the pic doesn't reveal is it was a coooold ride that day. Those clouds kept the solar rays away from warming my bones. Oh, and on the way a bird of prey swooped down from some nearby rocks with some prey, and unnerved by my closing speed, dropped the prey on the road right in front of me.

Not the best pic, 104" S&S shovel head stroker, hard tail. Daytech frame Sputh tranny. Bar hopper if there ever was. Hope this pic works, Its the 1st one I have done via photo bucket. Bike is a monster, I get a kick out of drag racing sport bikes. Not a harley part on it really.

Dire sorry for the slow response. The bike was originally built by the Patrick bros in Texas. Motor has been since cleaned up and head work done. Me and the old man picked it up for a song and a dance from a kid thats grandpa bought for him. Didn't want his son on a sportbikes. Originally had a kick start and they couldn't get it started. I think it's worth 5 grand lol. They put and electric start on it and they still just didn't have a clue about what they bought. Hes on a Honda fury now ! Perfect !!!!! The bike really moves but handles like a back hoe !

Hey Flashman - just now seeing this - thanks. Yes, its been offroad a few times so far and it does great. I have a GSA and have owned the KTM 950's and a 990, and the Scorpion is probably somewhere between the two in off-road ability. Better than the GSA, but not quite as capable as the KTM's. Still, it works pretty good offroad for a Harley

There's a video of it offroading on my build thread or website.

2008 Road King Classic

I love my '08 Road King Classic. When I was a kid, if someone asked me to think of a motorcycle, my mind's eye would imagine the sun glinting off the chrome on a Road King. It's my first and only bike, and I can't wait to ride the world on it.

I've just started prepping for another 'big trip' and came across this thread. I can't believe that it's taken me this long to post a couple snaps of my bike. Hopefully you'll find these pictures as amusing as I do.

Obviously you haven't heard. A Road King is not an adventure bike.

Nicely done.
