Looks pretty clean, however I dont think thats the original color. $1500 is about the upper limit that I would pay for a 450. If its got relatively low miles, is fully registered and completely road worthy I would say $1500 is an ok price.

GP... you might get $1500 for it, but I would accept any offer over $1000. Good luck with the sale.

For sale is the not perfect, but perfectly ride able cult classic and ever running 1985 Honda Nighthawk 700s. This is no garage queen as it was previously stored outside, undercover, in the San Juans, by the PO. Has a few cosmetic needs, but if you or someone you know is looking for that inexpensive first bike, commuter, project. This is it.

More photos can be emailed. This bike needs a little TLC to make it look good, only needs a battery to make it run. Had it running within the last two weeks sounded great, may even buy a new battery for it before selling.

Need to sell in order to pick up a really nice DRZ400 so make me an offer or tell me I'm crazy, just don't get down on me

$1000.00 OBO Located in the Bavarian Capital of Washinton, and a pretty nice place to ride too!

I posted this in the Nighthawk forum, but thought I'd share...

I was very fortunate to have purchased a brand new, unopened Hondaline backrest for my Honda Nighthawk 750. These have been discontinued for years, and command quite a high price on the used market!
Apparently, this item was stored for 21 years!
I purchased it on eBay for $169.95 + $48.75 shipping = $218.70 (USD) or $221.90 (CDN)
To put that into perspective, used rusty and/or "tweeked" examples go for about the same price or more! Cheap-a$$ aftermarket copies, which are prone to quality and fitment problems, don't sell for much less!
I am one happy camper today!

There's a clean 91 Mightjawk 750 with 55,000 on the clock for sale locally. He's asking $1800. Is offering $1400 a scumbag lowball offer?

I think $1400 is fair! Go for it, you have nothing to loose!

Right on!
Lurking around this thread, $1400 doesn't seem like a lowball. We'll see if he gets back to me.

Anyone gone after something like this?

I just sold my clean 92, with 63000 miles for 2300. But you're on the other coast, so things might be different.

Clean, older bikes are few and far between...

I'd say it's a great deal at 18, and if you end up at 16, no big deal. Good luck!

$2300 for a 20 year old NH750 with 63,000 miles?
= 100,800 kilometres
I'd say you did well.

I also agree that depending on where you are, prices vary. We pay a major premium north of the border.
I won't tell you what I had to fork out for my mint 2001 NH750! Ironically, a Maryland bike.

What's the general concesus? I always read the 883 was a dog power wise but that was in regards to the "Iron".

Looks like itd actually handle well, and man, is it good looking....

I'd say you did well.
And you don't know half of the story! But seriously, it was well cared for (although not mint), and lived in a garage its entire life when not on the road.

Mine sold new to the PO in 1995 for about 4000. I'm guessing you paid a mint, for the mint!

BTW, nice find with the backrest/rack. You must be thrilled!

IIRC, that yellow sticker says it has a weight limit of 6 pounds. You can safely ignore that!

Congrats. What did you end up getting for it?

Looking forward to pics of the 750 when you get it all sorted and cleaned.
