I used to rent a place in Salisbury Road, it's almost opposite that bike shop. I went to Art College on Kings Road many years ago.

Well Crap! There's a guy locally selling a ZRX1200. Now you're making me want to go get it!
![]() Great pics. Nice to see y'all got the terrible hairstyles and short shorts across the pond too.

Nothing says early '90s quite like the guy on the left rocking some serious cutoffs. YES! The mullets are epic as well.

Why does that seem so long ago?
In the 80's my buddy's older brother rode a kz1000. Man, all I remember was some green paint and an endless amount of motor! Thanks for the pics.

Actually it was 1995 according to the guy who won the trophy for best bike, as the trophy was still sitting on his shelf when he emailed me at the weekend.

The bikes have aged well while the clothing and hair styles have not.
I want a Z1-R, and I like the one with official looking Wheetabix graphics on the fairing. next is the Paddington Bear graphics. |

Clicked on this random thread. Funny, that shop looks familiar. Oxford Road? I used to live off of Oxford Road! Elm Park Road actually, half mile or so from MTC. Remember walking down there one time to buy a chain breaker and clutch cable for my AR50.
By 1993 I was living on the other side of town in Cemetery Junction though, and if it was actually 1995, I was already in the states.
