Though this is certainly not meant to detract from all the area has to offer, and there is likely to be a change by then, but it should be noted (if it has not already) that the venerable BGS is closing Tuesday the 8th of May.

It will be their final Burger Night as well.

I encourage all in the area to attend.

We are hoping to have some sort of solution, either new ownership, or a co-op arrangement soon, as this hub of Barnard life is a necessary part of the town.

That said, I must also sadly inform Clark and others that I must miss this year's gathering as I will be at the MD Renaissance Festival to support a friend who is back in business after the buyers defaulted, and he needs experienced crew to re-start his 40+year venture.

But I will try to leave beer and tools in my shop, give directions to all who might need a clean, well-lit concrete floor with all manner of tools, and beer in the fridge, 3 miles from Silver Lake.

Sorry to hear it. I've been worried about them, and about that diner up on the corner of 12 & 107- it's always been packed there, except this year... I ate there two mornings, and there were only 3 or 4 other people in there each day.

And now you poor bastards have to dodge volvos all the way into Woodstock just to get a six pack. Sorry man.
