21" wheel mudfest/test

Hey over there in Germany Woody.
I hope you're having a ball mate...

I finally managed to get out for a ride in the forest on the weekend - It fair pissed down the night before and the place was drenched. Unfortunately I didnt have the best tires on but (in fact the front was pretty rooted) but still a lot better in the worst conditions that the 19" ever was in the best conditions... I could not imagine doing the same ride on the 19" front.
Actually the bike would have stopped if just for the low guard gathering mud and jamming.

Anyway - Read on: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=68

Stay safe mate.
Talk soon.

More to come.

Greg.

I spotted the email from Chris on Saturday with shipping notification.
I have been watching them for a few days and it looks like the parcel/s may be in Perth at the moment.

I will keep you posted with their arrival + the obligatory pics etc..

Great work guys.

New fender

Waiting for my new wheel from Woody and after experiencing some hard roads and biting the dust several times in my latest trip, my fenders were smashed because they collided when bottomed so I had to repair and modify the lower ...

and buy a new one high to receive Woody's decal and had to figure if I could position it on the highest part when relocating both the horn and brake hoses ...

but it didn't work well on both extremes ...

so had to return to the previous position ...

and wait till customs frees my wheel ...
Cheers,
Thagua

Hang in there Roberto... DEFINITELY worth the wait..

Speaking of waiting - It seems Aussie customs may work a little faster than your mob mate.

I received a package from Woody's (only one week in transit and clearance) that contained the mostest gorgeous'est front wheel I have seen.

BEHOLD !!!!!

This is the new ABS/TCS compatible XT1200Z 21" front wheel...........
I chose silver to be the only "sliver wheeled blue S10" on the planet. And to be different.
I think its a great move and am really happy with the results thus far.

The pic doesnt bode very well as the perspective is obviously way off, but I am liking what I see. Cant wait to get myself a new set of knobbies and head out with full ABS/TCS guns blazing.

The 18" matching rear is probably in the air over Aussie soil as we read this, so a couple more days and I can fit both tires and get-er-done...

Seriously - The guys at Woody's Wheel Works have been amazing to deal with. Pandering to my whimsicle mind changes over color and size, as well as single disk, double disk, ABS - no ABS

I bow down in the presence of your work guys:

Great job.

Greg.

P.S - I remind you Southern hemisphere guys - I have a black 21" x 1.85" dual disc non ABS front wheel with SuperLight WWW hub, and a black 21" x 1.65" (A60) single disc non ABS front wheel with SuperLight WWW hub sitting here waiting for a good home. Both wheels are brand new (well the A60 has been used in the dirt once), so contact me for further info.

Greg, you may have thought we would not see them but give us a clear look at those front fork protectors that I can glance at through that wheel!
also wondering when the kit will hit the market.
Cheers Rick
