Yip but since 2009 he has been unable to complete/finish so I'm not surprised he is no longer with Speedbrain. He was always a Yamaha guy anyway.
I just hope he does not crash himself into oblivion this year..

As for new bikes - I also spotted this little number - actually on the RPA (Rally Pan-Am) website:  Looks like Meca'system have produced a version of their CRF450 kit to fit the new 2012 EFi WR450F... Looks a bit ugly in plain primer white, but I bet that set-up will work a treat! Jx |

I can certainly vouch for Yamaha's EFi reliability and fueling on the XT660Z Tenere - it was seamless right off the bottom, and I rode one across the USA and back again in 2008 - over 21,000 miles from way below sea-level to the top of Pikes Peak - and it was utterly reliable in every sense. I then took the same bike (with some upgraded suspension) from Paris to Dakar in 2009, again utterly faultless... I think these days the Japanese manufacturers [Well, Yamaha and Honda at least] have got EFi totally sorted. Jx |
