Kraut! you know how to dress a dog!

Will try to be there for 1pm.
Excellent about the sockets!
Hope someone will jump in about the lift...
I have the two sockets needed to remove the original countershaft sprocket nut and install the prevailing torque nut...
However the extra set with the smaller sizes will be needed for everything else. Thanks!
And Cheers!

PS. Kraut, but no hot peppers.

PPS. For those concerned about the garburator exhaust mod acoustic signature, it's nothing like a BobMunz throttle crack. That one, you don't wanna be behind for any length of time!

If there are enough adut beverages, I'm up for that, but free-standing tents only. The pegs play hell with the cement floor.

I'm renting a U Haul trailer to run out to Sudbury to haul my daughter and grand kids back to Manitoba. I will be heading east empty, so if someone needs something moved east as far as Sudbury I could do it for a bit of gas money.

I'm leaving June 20th. PM me if your interested.

Are you going to the tech day, or will it be your ex-wife?

So far, we have four bikes with a combination of shim checks, snorkel, exhaust mod, and shock repairs.

I'll have a couple of garburator covers available to mod as outlets for those who want the low buck exhaust mod.
My modded 705 (and possibly John Fry's 685) will be there if you want to hear the acoustic results before deciding on the exhaust mod.

There is space inside for all who want to work on their KLR... but as I only have my metric tools available, bring yours or risk waiting in line. Limited oil and filter disposal is available, so bring supplies if needing an oil change.

Food and beverages will not be provided, but there is a fridge to keep them cold. , and there is a "beverage store" 12 minutes away.

The venue is Universal Aero Engines, #10 Prairie Pl, St Andrews MB. (St Andrews Industrial Park) and I'll be there from 10AM May 5th until evening. (Or however long we take.)
The shop is equipped with a lathe, cleaning booth, media blaster and a welder, and Rick "DCMD", the shop owner\machinist\welder, will be on hand, at least for the reasonable part of the day.

Looking forward to Yet Another Winnipeg and Area Tech Day, see you there.
Reposting the hosts post, with address...

tech day

Hey what do we need to bring? We have a socket set, and since we're camping, obviously a tent. Sadly we dont have room for the jack.

Tech day swing and a miss

Sorry I couldn't make it to your tech day! I was installing my mother inlaws Mothers day gift in her room. She was very surprised and pleased to see her wall mounted plasma screen TV when she got back from the church bazzar next door. (takes up less room but still a bigger TV)

With the price of gas now a days it would only get her as far as Upsla. She could probably walk back from there in a couple of days and would probably be meaner to you than she already is

Great KLR650 "tech day"!

A big thanks to Brian & Richard for laying on this great tech day. I found it tremendously helpful Brian mentoring me thru checking valve clearances. Bit of a job, but with a little patience, and a lot of care and attention easily do-able by anyone with decent mechanical skills. Got back to town too late to buy shims from the Kawi dealer... that's going to have to wait until Monday. Was great meeting a bunch of new faces - hell of a meet & greet!

Tech Day

Thanks Brian and Richard for hosting tech day.
It was great to see everyone and meet new people.
Sorry I didn't make it back to the shop but the Timmy's coffee break went long.
Great day.
Thanks again.

P.S. I'm still thinking about the garburetor exhaust mod.
