I am up in Bellevue, just East of Seattle. Surely in the range when a good ride presents itself!

Yep I am 6'1" and I prefer it to the standard height Adventure that I had before, but also I like the bench seat (you can shift positions easily when riding on difficult terrain)

I just picked up my new 2011 990 Adventure Dakar Special Edition from its first service. I bought the bike 0n 4-24. I took off last weekend from Federal Way over to Eastern WA. and then down to Eastern OR. to spend the night and then returned home the next day reversing my route. I avoided the Interstate once past Cle Elum and put 675 miles on the clock. I took it to Hinshaw's for the first service on Tuesday morning and it is in the garage waiting for my next trip. I love the bike and couldn't have made a better choice.

Sounds like a nice trip. I changed my oil and cleaned the screens last night after hitting first 100 miles, and I intend to put about 500 more on it this weekend before first official service.

We should do a 990/950 ride this summer (massive). I think I know at least 5 friends up here with 990s or super enduros. Ktm rally is in bend this year too. I went to bend last summer for wetfest and it was pretty epic.

I am signed up for the KTM Adventure Rally, and going to meet the group down in Hood River a few days before to do some riding around there, and then ride down to Bend on Friday morning.

Took a trip over Stevens Pass to Leavenworth, almost hit a deer. I stopped and she started to come towards me probably to tell me to slow down...
