Sounded awesome
Fouled a plug. Sounded a hell of a lot better when I rode it in than it did going out. It was a long day, I was out there at 0545, got lazy, started it on the choke with the gas off and it fluffed. Finally cleared it out on the access road. As usual the Beemer fired and ran perfectly, but the Italian is pretty damn temperamental due to the huge Delortos and need for coolish plugs.

Was hoping to get the slide show up tonight, but I promise to have it tomorrow.

Those old Bone Shaker big wheel bicycles were cool!

In 1976, my 6th and final year in college, I worked at a schoolmate's bicycle shop and the shop owned one. I learned to ride it and was immediately in demand to ride it in every Bicentennial parade that year. (Uncle Sam beard and 1930's knickers and golf cap, etc.) My crowning achievement was making an entire 50 mile bike/hike fundraiser riding it up and down rolling hills from Milledgeville, GA to Gray and return. Couldn't walk for shit that night, but it was good for lots of free beers in every bar I visited that evening.

Those guys riding them through the crowds around the promenade were exceptionally skilled.
