Very nice.
Sometimes its nice to build something and not worry about spending more than it's worth. Just make it how you want it and enjoy it! I imagine still less money into it than many new bikes cost. Plus it's one of a kind. |

Very nicely done. It's prompting me to start on my 1982 GPz1100. Soon.

Stellar job, Alaska! Looking very smart, yer bike.
I 'm "starting things" over again, and I'm looking for a nice fixer-upper, like an older CB, GS, etc... I came across one just like yours (81 CB900F) for an apparently good price. The cons? Well, needs new battery, and a valve adjustment. Now, I am fairly handy at doing small jobs on bikes (did a lot on my Bandit), but never done a valve adjustment. Is it something that can be done easily enough? I have access to manuals and how-to videos. I appreciate your thoughts on that. Cheers! |

I like the 900F gauges better (even with the 85moh speedo). What do you think of those Vipex shocks? I got an 82 900F thats going to need an upgrade in the near future

I also recently acquired an 82 900F. Or at least that's what I'm told it is. It's mostly bare frame and boxes of parts. If I end up with something half as good as yours looked like before you started your project, I'll be happy.
It might be a while, I've got two other incomplete projects ahead of it. I'll keep dreaming.

Agree with McJamie! Want to echo the comments, you done good gettin' her freshened up. She looks spotless! I inherited a new project of my own and coincidentally lost my weekends for the next 8 months! This is what my 'new' CB900F looked like when I took delivery of her Monday... My buddy assured me all the parts are there if I want to assemble it stock, but I'm looking for a cafe street racer fighter. First go at a build from the ground up, wish me luck. I will need it! ![]()

For you guys with questions regarding these old DOHC CB750, 900 and 1100F bikes, go here. www.cb1100f.net I've seen Alaska Griz there.
