Bags Connection vs Givi Tanklock systems
I have been searching and found both mentioned - bags connection is very well documented indeed. I have not, however been able to find a direct comparison.
Have any of you ever used both? For comparison purposes? Pros vs cons? To me they seem like the two most interesting tank bag options around but the data on the Givi system is pretty scarce, I would love to hear your comments on them - and as I said particularly from any of you who have actually tried both. TIA |

The Givi stuff is pretty new. I've been looking at it but haven't pulled the trigger for it yet.

I should be recieving my bags connection system today - but I would not be adverse to changing it to Givi. I think it's an interesting solution.

Trying the Givi setup
Going to put on my R1200GS.
Got the T480 Tankbag in and its very HQ stuff. Finding the mounting rign (BF07) for the GS is a difficult task though. Will try and post pics when I have the whole setup in place.

Bump for anyone with new info that can compare or if you've just had experience with the Givi set up.

Swimmer...
What kind of bike are you putting this on?
I've got the Givi 480 and the fit rings are def a challenge. Givi customer service also leaves some thing to be desired.

I'd be putting this on a Tiger 800. Hadn't heard the rings are tough to install. I'll keep that in mind.

My tank rings I had to fit are for a 2002 Ducati Monster 620 and a 2006 BMW R1200GS

I looked at the Givi application chart and they only show the Street triple 675 for Triumphs models but that model shares the same mount with the Tiger 800 for Bags Connection mounts so I am guessing its the same. I'll send an email to Givi and see if I get a response. Edit, FWIW Givi responded in less than an hour with their recommendation of which tank ring fitting to use. swimmer screwed with this post 05-07-2012 at 12:11 PM |

Givi tank lock bag
Hey swimmer I'll be sticking this bag onto a Tiger XC, when you heard from Givi which model tank ring did they say was going to work?
Thanks, "T" |
