Here's a couple of pics of my 640 adv.

Its got 1.5" bar risers, UFO rear end and LED tail light, 625 SMC pegs, KTM competition exhaust and EPC removed.

It also has a second outfit for weekend fun including 450 SMR forks / caliper / wheels, beringer m/c and cast disc, 625 SMC shock and tank/seat/rad panels.

Hey, 5am... as we can see, you have reached the perfect balance between your two wide opposite preferences... good for you!
And to see how low can our bikes take the bend on asphalt ... that set up is magic! While commuting, more than once I would loved to have that grip to let my jaws relaxe....
Good job.

Sure is mate. Well spotted.

Going down into hawes was 'fun'. I've only done it on the 250 before, going down on the loaded adventure was a different kettle of fish

eizrah : I bought my 640 from a German guy. Along with the manuals he gave me a catalogue from a shop called Polo.

http://www.polo-motorrad.de/en/

Seem like they have a huge range of bike gear, not KTM specific though.

EDIT: linky fixed....

My bike died on the freeway last July. At 90 kph the engine stopped as if I'd hit the kill switch. Ignition fuse was blown so I changed it 3 times at the side of the road and then trailered it home.
I removed the front cowl thinking there was a shorted wire - WOW!! I found 5 worn through wires! Fixed them and bike turned over but would NOT fire . I changed the spark plug, serviced the valves and carb (carb slider is a bit worn and loose - bike has 50000km). There was a spark but still wouldn't start.

So my KTM buddy Gunnerbuck figured it may be the stator. I just opened the stator cover and found this...

A Scored stator

Iron filings galore...

A scrap of metal that helped do the grinding

I'll get a new stator, clean this up and report back.

My 2000 ADV did the same thing, turns out it was one or two of the starter gear teeth, that broke off and got sucked into the magnets on the rotor...so you may want to give them all a good once over.

Hockey stick silencer?

Hockey stick silencer? What's that? I would like to eventually get rid of my original muffler and get a slip on, mostly to save weight and lower center of gravity. I believe the original exhaust pipe has to stay because slip on sale info says must keep original exhaust pipe. Is there a titanium exhaust pipe that matches up with a titanium muffler? That would really lose quite a few pounds and make me lighter by a grand too I expect $$ !!
When time for a new battery I intend to get one that weighs less than two pounds advertised.
