Camping at Brantley Lake St. Park. Very nice place.

Marty, a local, gave us some directions to Carlsbad Caverns which bypassed Carlsbad. Cool place, other than the signs warning of poisonous gas.

I am not sure where this pic was taken.

Carlsbad Caverns, highly recommended. You can spend all day there looking at rocks and holes in a cave.

Incredible place!

This is a really big boobie.

We took lots of crappy pics.

These are of the road in and out of the Caverns.

Then we rode across to Cloud Croft. More great scenery and MC roads.

Note the deer carcass in this one.

We found a cool little stream with some small waterfalls.

Leaving Cloud Croft, this was a pretty place. Way too touristy though, and the Western Bar's burgers sucked, eat someplace else. The fried okra was very good though.

The roads and the tunnel were cool, and fortunately we got stuck behind this truck. We could have passed, but he was speeding a bit, and this is a speed trap.

From there we headed into NM, where we are still at Oliver Lee St. Park.

South of Alamogordo by 14 miles or so, this is on the road out of town to the park.

Here is the side road that goes in, we are right at the base of the Sacramento Mountains, and we have been hiking up there and learning about the history of this area for the past 3 days.

Here is the sunrise from out campsite.

This was taken in front of the visitors center when we arrived. This place is well worth $10 a night.

We have some great pics of our hiking expedition that I have not pulled from the cameras yet. These are of the trip to Roswell that same day at the UFO Museum. Whats that cone for?

If you want to save a little $ ,the next time you change oil try to bum a garbage bag and a small box. Works great in a pinch.
