Cool report! Good stuff.

So, it seems I should not need to be too concerned about that crossing we discussed? I am not sure if I told you or not but the ranch manager at the YP told me the Pipeline Crossing would be no problem with a bike in June.

Hey, you posted the same time I did! You definitely won't have a problem with any of the fords.

Sweet!! Less to worry about sounds good to me.

I was wondering why you had another post once I replied that was not there before I started composing my post.

There, I finally made it to the hot springs. It was 111 in the pool. A little warm for this time of year. I'll be back in the fall for a good long soak. I can check another one off my list.

The source where it comes out of the ground.

The view from the hot springs. And that's my last picture. Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Awesome Ride Report

This was a wonderful read. . .and look! That's pretty cool that you found the Petroglyph's. I need to pay more attention to rocks and boulders when I'm out riding in the boondocks like that. But it's not gonna be easy for me, heck I just found Map Rock last month with my folks. And it's right next to the road. . .with a sign! Well, extremely faded sign, that's my excuse.

Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us!

Looks like you had fun. I was waiting for you to finish your current report before asking about anything specific. Are you going to checkout the pipeline crossing or are you waiting for me to do it?

Awesome report trailrider383. My kind of country for sure! The petros were great. I love coming across those out in the middle of nowhere. The hot spring finale was cool too.
This shot of the sky is amazing. Thanks for sharing your ride.

I was thinking I should go check that out, but I think you will probably beat me to it. I forget when you are going, June sometime right? I'm probably done exploring for a few weeks. I'm not going to have time for it until probably the end of June at the earliest.

I got close to it last fall. It's about 35 miles as the crow flies northwest of this spot in the Bull Run Mountains. This view is looking west across 75 miles of flat nothing at the Santa Rosa Mountains south of McDermitt. I need to get ambitious and do a report on that ride.

"And some indian doodling. Petroglyphs."

I always wonder weather it is as common as " white feather loves little three bears" or something like that. Thousands of years pass, but I dont think things change much.

Nice ride report. You are lucky to be so familiar with such beautiful country.
