Great night for a ride. Can't believe it's only mid-March.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Great posts and RR's. Hav'nt been in Indiana since 1981 when I was stationed at Grissom AFB. Hear its no longer around?? Forgot how pretty and diffrent it is there from the PNW. Sounds like an Iron Butt may be in order!

Grissom is still around but with a significantly reduced military mission. It's pretty much an industrial park now with a big focus on aircraft industry. The Guard still flies some at the base though.

I've got Mondays off most the the next couple of months and took a scoot up the West side of the Wabash River yesterday..

Old Newport jail..

Seems I need to replace the fork seals sometime soon..

Eugene, just North of Cayuga..

Inadvertently crossed over into Illinois in my search for gravel..

Perrysville, Indiana..

I crossed back over to the East bank and followed some interesting roads through the bottoms..

Decided to make like the band and Head East around Shades State Park then South through Waveland..

It was a nice day on the bike, but then aren't they all..

John

Hey!! Do me a favor in your wanderings.......find the place below and get some pictures. The house on the south corner is the one I lived in before we moved to West T. Havent been there in years. The whole area is fun to explore. There might still be a Christmas tree farm right there by the house, running the trails to that place is where I learned to ride a dirt bike. We use to get lost in those woods for hours and hours. If you run south down Cowden road and turn left on West Tabor Road it will eventual wind its way down towards a creek bottom and get you to north of Bloomington on old US 37. We use to camp and fish all night down in the bottoms on the creek bank. There use to be a couple of old covered bridges along the route also. I know you run around Bean Blossom, so if you know the square pond just north of Bloomington on old 37, well thats about where you come out at............if my feeble old mind is correct. It has been many years since I have been out that way.

Thanks my wandering Friend!!!
