As summer time gets pretty busy I thought I would start tossing around dates for this - how about the weekend of Friday July 20-22? This is the first post Stampede weekend. Let me know if you're interested and if the dates work. It would be 2 nights of camping - anyone is welcome.

Ouch!!
Where did you find the other one you posted? Did you try MRO (?) electronics just north of Bolt supply on 12th street? I'm looking for a fuse block to add to my truck and keep the wiring clean.

Because this is often something isn't forewarned and thought of last minute but who knows about, or plans to go to the Horizons Unlimited meet in Nakusp, B.C this August 23-26th?
I hope to make it this year. Last year we were across the lake on a dual sport trip at around 10pm waiting on the ferry, being that we'd only arrive around midnight and would have to leave in the morning we decided to camp in the bush just south of Riondel and head back in the morning. It would be fun to get a like-minded group together and ride out there. Lots of different options to get out there, some of which are a great challenge to make things interesting! PS, if those don't know off-road routes to get out there I can preselect some on a GPX file with varying difficulty depending on what people want to ride. Unfortunately, once across the ferry my information is limited so that will have to be up to you to either explore, or ride the stellar pavement. It really is a good time!

i wasnt looking for anything special, he sent me out back to dig through the old wiring looms and i found two that looked ok, the one in the photo and a small (ATM) fuse block, dirty and rough, i asked how much for just the fuse boxes, 50 he said for the pair.... or 30 for 1.
he went on to say that someone might come round for the rest of the loom... i was thinking 20 for the pair, as it was just sitting out in the pile in the yard... it was much more then i had thought, and hurts more now, that i dont need it. better to track a new 6 or 8 ATM or ATC fuse box online and have it shipped to your place then to run around but all wasnt lost, he did send me off to a bolt store (think it was near blackfoot moto) was ready to pay a good 5 or 10 for this bolt that i broke, he said minimum was 2.10 for paper work... so at least i headed home with a smile....(but a lighter wallet)

I know its last minute, but if anyone wanted to do a quick ride down Alta road in Wiaporous this afternoon i would be interested in meeting up at Tims Cochrane at 12:00 (noon) - I dont have a lot of time this aft, but I thought a couple hour ride would be good considering the weather.
I know FlossandFly mentioned he would be interested, now sure who else is. I'll check back here before I leave. |

I'll try to make it - but don't wait for me. I ride a DRZ400 and wear a high-visibility green jacket so I'm hard to miss.

Watch the Rally
I'll be at the COP Petro Canada for 12. Then ride out to the excellent viewing at the second stage viewing area.
Saturday May 26, 2012 - Spectator Locations The Rally will use one road on Saturday. Hunter Valley road is about 52 Km north of Hwy 1A on Hwy 40, also known as the Forestry Trunk Road. The last 27 Km of this drive is on gravel and can be dusty in dry conditions. You should plan on it taking a minimum of a full hour to get to the stage from Cochrane. Saturday’s rally stages have two spectator opportunities. The first is at the start of the Hunter valley Stage with parking available at the intersection of Hwy 40 and Hunter Valley Road. You can see cars here at the following times: 9:45 to 10:25 (SS10) and 11:25 to 12:05 (SS11) 3:30 to 4:10 (SS12) and 5:00 to 5:40 (SS13) The Second location is about 5.5 Km from the start of the stage at the third bridge along the road. There are some excellent viewing locations here but parking may be limited. Access to this location will be closed at 9:10AM for the morning stages and at 2:30 for the afternoon stages. You can see cars here at the following times: 9:48 to 10:22 (SS10) and 11:22 to 12:02 (SS11) 3:33 to 4:13 (SS12) and 4:57 to 5:37 (SS13) Teams will be servicing at the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino, at the intersection of Hwy 1 and Hwy 40. You can see cars here at the following times: 1:00 to 2:40
