Wyoming Rock Springs BLM

Can anyone tell me if the attached track is rideable? I am using the topo for the area and have never ridden it but I do intend to fly it in Google Earth prior to adding it to my trip.

EDIT: I flew this in Google Earth and it looks doable. Are there any gates across the roads in this area.

Some of the roads are pretty sketchy (overgrown). You may have a hard time seeing them when on the ground. There MAY be a gate or fence 1.91 miles from the North-East end. There's a cattle guard 2.43 miles from the North-East end. Microsoft (Bing) has better imagery in this area than Google.

Benchmark Atlas for Wyoming shows it as a primitive road with no gates, which is not a guarantee by any means even tho BMs are quite reliable. You might acquire the BLM surface management map for the Cedar Mountain area, where your route is. That will show land ownership (public/private land) as well as roads. There can be more private land in Wyoming's wide-open spaces than one might expect. I would not expect locked gates in that terrain. A phone call directly to the recreation planner at the appropriate field office (check its employee directory) is often helpful.

Thanks Tony. I will have to google around for the Benchmark Maps but it sounds like a worthy addition to my stuff.
