iPhone - how did you mount yours to your 950/990?
I'm curious to see how everyone is mounting/attaching their phone to their bike. What works and what doesn't work, charging setups etc... I would like to see pictures if you have them!
Thanks in advance! firefighter*17 screwed with this post 05-27-2012 at 09:46 AM |

I've just gotten a 4S, I put a LifeProof case in this one and have the bike mount ordered for it. The LifeProof case is waterproof so I figured I would try the bar mount. I had a OtterBox on m 3GS, it's an awesome case but no mounting possibilities and it's not waterproof.
LifeProof also has a clip that fits a GoPro mount.

I use this
http://store.thinkbiologic.com/bike-...or-iphone.html
Have used it for the past year or so without any issues. Inexpensive, you can use it with leather gloves and mounts/unmounts easily. Also rotates to landscape view as needed. I have used it for fire road riding, no jumps/big hits. Lots of city/urban commuting. If I lost it would buy another right away. It is somewhat water resistant. Seals up well but the port for the headphone area has a little rubber gasket that was lost almost immediately. Have ridden in the rain and just put a zip lock over it and it's all good. That sounds ghetto I realize but simple solution. |

case
Check this one out, it is something that is sold in the bicycle shops but it also comes with a handlebar clamp so it fits right in the middle of the stem perfectly on my 990 and my buddy put on on his 1200gsa. the top is held on by these elastic bands so even with gloves you just pull the top and grab your phone out. works great and a fraction of the cost of others.

I Phone mount
The Lifeproof case is worth the money to me. The waterproof headphone jack works great on the bike.
I use it with the Ram mount X grip cradle. Great set up. http://www.rammount.com/NewProducts/...Default.aspx#/

Not at all, note also that I have RoxRisers and a Fatbar with a higher aggressive bend (iphone case and mount in the middle) and still got great visibility, but man I'm 6'10''.... ![]() ![]()
