Did my first German MTB race today, 41 Km with 1,300 meters of climbing, start delayed due to lightning and rain, super soupy slop! It was a bear, a friend signed us up and chopped 5 years off my age (Thanks Bruddah!, Living Young!!!) but I'd have won my class if properly entered, no big but they also didn't have the T-Shirts we'd pre-ordered....

Kona King Kahuna "Niner" was awesome, the bigger footprint was a real benefit in the sloppy conditions. Unfortunately I took the GoPro off before the start since the conditions were so bad....

It's a good ride when you can't even read the markings on the tubes.

Yeah, I'm sure it's a great bike, too. But they announced it just a few months after I got a new carbon Nomad, so that's going to be my bigger hit bike for a little while. Maybe next year I'll try a TallboyLTc.

Perfomance has a closeout deal on blue Krylions. IIRC they're $16

Me? My Quattro Assi fell out of the clamp (don't ask ) and now I have a dent in my TT. Not that the QA was worth a whole bunch, but now its worthless.

Just posted this to the other bikes thread too, which I found from this thread because honestly I had no clue there was even a 'sports' section.

But at last my new bike has arrived. Just getting back into bicycling and this should do the trick. Could have had the black/black version a week back, but of course I just had to put in an order for this white/red/black model.

My $45 garage sale find from yesterday. Pulled the fenders, soaked the chain, re-greased all the bearings, filled the tires and tightened the spokes. She now rolls like a champ and I even turned down $125 this afternoon from a complete stranger while cruising the hood.

Nice Felt.
