The roads were great and out of the blue we discover this. I saw not one sign of "BigDogs presence". and I am not sure Rhino has this one or not? But it was a beauty to say the least.

Did I miss them or are there tracks/routes for this ride?

kim, I have not yet photographed this bridge, it looks to be the MCKEE CREEK BRIDGE west of kellerville in Adams county. A beautiful example of a late 1800s pinned Pratt through truss bridge!!! thanks so much for sharing, Brad

as we worked our way south we went through Siloam Springs State park. This was a pretty area and a nice ride through the park. After the park we came into a town called Pittsfield, Ill. What a court house they have. I love this about old towns. The architecture is so unique.

As we left Pittsfield we headed towards Calhoun County. It was very pretty riding through the twisty roads and hilly country. This is the area between the Illinois River and the Mississippi river. At the end of this area is the confluence of the two rivers and is also a ferry to get you back across the river. It is a free ferry run by the Ill. DOT. It is part of the route.

Once across the river he headed south along the Great River road. Through Grafton which was packed with bikers. Our destination for the night was my parents house in Bethalto which is in the back yard of Alton Ill. No trip through Alton, Ill. would be complete without a stop to see Robert Wadlow. Tallest man. They have a life size statue that will make you feel like a dwarf. Sit in his chair....
Fast Eddies in Alton is a great spot to stop for food! kimzx1000r screwed with this post 05-31-2012 at 05:31 AM |
