The deal is with my 2001 F650GS running Mobil 1 I get better than 65 mpg with my wife and light baggage. I suppose it might be a bit smoother and possibly a better seat but the F650 is certainly a bit more offroad oriented. My F650 GS doesn't vibrate at all so I am not sure what other guys are talking about.
Still I grew up with Honda and always liked their reliability and I have been impatiently waiting for them wake up and make an "all America" bike. Its time they get over their poorly executed NX series...it wasn't that America wasn't wanting an adventure bike...it was because their's sucked. I would love to see them take that little VT twin, make everything aluminum and magnesium and produce the perfect adventure bile. Most adventure bikes are just too plain big and heavy. |

Last year I had the opportunity to ride several thousand kilometers through Peru on a Brazilian-built Honda NX400 Falcon, and the NC700X looks like an updated big brother to the bike.
Sacred Valley of the Incas As you can see in the Ride Report above, the little 400 was absolutely bulletproof, handling deep water crossings and 14,000 ft Andean mountain passes as well as the twisty switchbacks. Although a little short on power, the bike was nearly perfect for the type of riding I did. I have a feeling the NC700X is going to be an awesome utility bike too; very good as an urban commuter, decent on the road, and better in dirt than people are expecting. ![]() I am really looking forward to a test ride! |

Great ride. I think your Falcon will be much lighter than the NC which is really more of a high mileage street commuter.

I wish they sold that little 400 here in the states. That's a sharp bike!

A NX 400 Falcon with the NC700X, would set me up for my riding.

Last time I spoke to a dealer about these he said that the Silver/Gray that is on the US website was the DCT model and that the manual was going to be a different color, but that Honda hadn't told them what it would be yet. Any ideas what color the manual will be in?
