I can't wait. I watch every morning and then the highlights at night. I love it.

![]() actually for me it should be ![]() Going to try and "ride the tour" this year-- exercise bike is going in front of the TV with the DVR. I'm just starting so I won't be hitting the whole two hour show, but a good half hour to 45 minutes.

Excellent time if you can make it. I've been on the Champs Elysees a couple times for the race, last time in 1998, when Pantani completed the Giro-Tour double. Ullrich and Julich also on the podium that year. Still have my copy of L'Equipe from the next day, with cover pic of podium, Julich with a smile of disbelief.
It's a great spectacle. My next trip to a grand tour will be in the mountains, probably a week in the Italian Dolomites. For those who don't have cable or other TV, there is lots of free live online coverage at www.steephill.tv in several different languages. They carry 10 or more different streams and also link post-race to finish-line clips of 1-10km, highlights and other news sites. Good clearinghouse for live and archived cycling vids of all kinds. From that site and gazzetta.it: here is my favorite 10km of racing so far this year, the uphill finish of stage 15 of this year's Giro d'Italia. In Italian, but the announcers' energy transcends mere language. For live race chat and commentary (a virtual cyclosport pub), www.podiumcafe.com has a great crew of cognoscenti, keen observers, hopeless romantics, and attentive and astute reporters from inside and alongside the races. |

I see, I did not read far enough. You are right, great riding. Although, I'll stick to internal combustion while there. And I can't fart that hard.
