We rode up the the saddle next to Cooney Lake and camped there, about an 1/8 mie away from the lake proper. I don't think riding all the way to the lake is legal. No bugs but our water did freeze up overnight, the elevation there is about 7ooo'. As nasty as the terrain there is the trails are in better shape than five years ago. The switchbacks were tricky but built very well.

Sorry, no GPS and I don't know what a url is so no pictures either.

If you're interested in doing this route or other routes over there, contact me, I'm always looking for an excuse to go for a big ride. FYI - Snow is gonna fly soon over there, make it the next few weekends or it'll have to be after June next year.
