Dean...just buy it dude!
I will feel better if some other FF's buy a 12 while owning an earlier model and very happy with it.

Come on isn't peer pressure working like it used to?

The fairing blanks are actually the clear turn signals painted the fairing color. I moved my turn signals down using the Euro signals bought thru MPH. I smucked one and just removed the paint from te blank and used it as a replacement

Yep. Already got the lowdown on that. The whole light housing is behind it minus the bulbs.

Smart move having your dealer put the Euro turn signal lenses/bulbs in the front and replacing the mirrors w/ the Sport units. Looks MUCH better that way.

Now go get her dirty and give us a report!

I got stuck in stop and go traffic leaving the shop headed for the hills. Nothing like a new air-cooled motor heat cycling in 86F weather

Once I got up into the mountains where there was no traffic and it was a pleasant 70F - it was a much more pleasant ride.

Runs great I look forward to the first 8-10k miles, you really feel these motors loosen up and get more willing to rev and spin up.

The Heidenaus wander a bit on rain grooved concrete, but I'm used to that with knobbies on the TE. Very comfortable seating position, with the seat in the high position there's more legroom than anything I can recall

Worth the wait!

Thanks for that! Sounds like initial impressions are favourable, then.

Very nice of you to spend the time. You've obviously got much better things to do!

I've been folowing this thread as I wouldn't mind adding one of these to the stable next year.

The flat black looks better in the pic's than I thought it would, but I'd like to have one in a deep metallic red like my Versys. We'll see what's in store for next year.

Congrats on the new ride as it looks like a dandy!

I like how skinny the bike looks without the panniers

Look forward to riding it at night to see how good all those lights are

The headlight frame looks like it is different. It looks like it is MAD. The 09 looks wide eyed in need of long eyelashes.
