Too old to skateboard - Page 31

If you're 31 and think you're 'too old' you'll be 50 by the time you hit 38.

Guys I work with have been skating since the late 80s. They're pudgy around the midsection, have kids and probably we weren't all that good 'back in the day' but hey. Like you said, it's a way to get off our asses and do something.

My wife and I were driving last weekend and saw three teenagers longboarding. She made a mild snarky comment. I thought they looked like they were having fun and I said as much. I want to try a long board pintail. I don't know if G&S makes one, but I do love the old manufacturers.

Do what you want. There are only so many tomorrows.

I took the dog out for a walk on my wife's arbor pin the other night. Nice to get rolling again. New neighborhood has nice smooth roads.

I watch this when i'm feeling too old and tore up to go skate. Mike V was a fresh pro when I started skating, same with Danforth, and if dudes like Duane Peters can still tear shit up, I can at least carve around the local bowl and show old man pride.

I will be 48 in August. I have a Longboard Larry Walkabout. Thinking about getting an Old School Dancer. I like to cruise around the hood, it always makes me happy.My youngest kid is heading to college soon so Im trying to get my dog on with me. I might need a Go Pro, the first attempt was pretty funny.

just wanna cruise around, or trying to do some tricks?

if you want to cruise around, just get a board (and some safety gear), and go for it. start on nice flat ground, and remember to keep your weight over your front foot. to stop, drag your back foot.

for tricks, lots of primers online.
