Lately, I've been considering the thought of a 690 more and more. Mostly due to a little more comfort, added range, easier maintenance schedule, etc. I have to ride a long way before I get to some good off roading, which still doesn't compare to the riding spots most of you FF's have to ride. If you don't know, the 525 SUCKS on the road, but is a ton of fun on single track.

Anyway, this pic is making me want a 690 even more.
Hello, how are all?

I was like you, until I decided to take the 690. Now I realize I've been fooling around with the 525.

Just for the chassis and because the fuel tank is below the cucu : Lol3: Lol3, but the 690 is moving much better than the 525. Besides the noticeable improvement in road driving and also improving in terms of maintenance.
I did not hesitate.

Indeed, this is my girl: Raabia

PS: Sorry for my English, this is a translation of google.

Mt. Clifty Trail Ride

This is most of the single track portion of a true dual sport mission (IMO) to Mt. Clifty. I left my place in Mukilteo, WA. rode a hundred some odd miles of twisty backroads to 4 lane Interstate to get to the start of a gravel road somewhere close to South Cle Elum, WA. Speeds ranged from 35 side roads to 95+ stints on the freeway. (15/48)

I think it should be mentioned that this ride kicked my ass and I did it with a half loaded Great Basin bag.

There are (8) Videos total they start about half way up and continue all way back down to the gravel. I don't like to edit video, they are raw. Don't watch if you don't like that kind of thing.....

Video 1: On the way up

Video 2 (skip to the end once I stop at the tree....)

Video 3: The push to the top....

Video 4: Heading down

Video 5: More down

Video 6: More down (skip to the end once I stop, kinda boring)

Video 7: More down

Video 8: Back to Gravel

Nice~most guys change out the exhaust first but not you!

If you could share a side profile pic, preferably with the GL tank bag, that would be much appreciated.

No problem before it gets dark!

My exhaust has to get power and be quiet not just loud..

Yes, I use the kit, would not buy again.
The headlights were not adjustable. the left tank was leaking, and hundreds of holes in the fiberglass. A lot of work before painting.

The fit was ok.

How did you have resolved the leaking?
tankerite or other gummy coating? with fibreglass tank use a internal sealing component is normal.

The attachment below where the tank is screwed. Just beside the fuel flow. I've always thought it comes out of there. Leaking only with full tanks and driving.
Sealing was in.

Sorry to hear you are not happy with the kit. I have been thinking seriously about pulling the trigger on the Dottori kit this coming winter. If you decide to sell it, let me know.

Anyone got a picture of a 690 with a clear safari tank and a rally raid fairing?
It looks like you can only get the fairings to suit the safari tank in orange or black....... Wish I could get a white one
