I still have Ryan's address and phone # from last year, so if they're current I'll show up there first. I don't care where I end up, I just need a sleeping bag-sized spot.

Edit - just asking because the few videos I've seen look like some fun, challenging singletrack. I'm assuming the videos of the rocks are 735?
I think we may have found our first female candidate for the Monkey-Butt 500!

Yep, thats 735.

Fire impact?

Hey guys

I'm game and will meet you at the trail head.

Does anyone know if the fire up by Lake George will impact the route/ride?

Thanks

Very possible. She's got the bug. Started out by following me around Lefthand. Now she ditches me to go hit the singletracks by herself.

Humorous part is watching her balance and kickstart the XR with her left leg if it stalls on a steep climb. She's 4 months out of ACL surgery so she can't kick with the right yet. Not cleared to be riding actually, but the woman won't listen to me or the doc.

Love you honey.

thx for the welcome! Hmmm, no answer to my original question. Maybe the boys don't want me playing in their sandbox?

Not enough hours in the day. Yes, it was fun, but adding the extra trails that were required to get out to the singletrack cost us a couple hours that we don't really have.

If you complete BreckTrek and want more, join us for the MonkeyButt - I guarantee you'll fine what your looking for.

I figured it was about managing time.

Out for BreckTrek. I'm IN for MonkeyButt! . . . if my man thinks I'm ready. The nasty, gnarly, sh** is what I love! The flats and whoops, not so much.

Yep we spent a lot of time, and remember last year was not really a Brecktrek but a Jeffersontrek...it actually took a lot of extra time to get people through there. Plus the normal tubbed guys flats we needed to repair Got to love TUBliss

So far the fire is on the south side of the Hwy and highways tend to make a good fire break, so the chances of it impacting the ride are minimal right now.

Well that can be a love/hate relationship. I think we removed (on the trail) 3 out of the 4 TUBliss systems that have attempted the MonkeyButt. But overall I think the TUBliss would work well for a BreckTrek type of ride.

why all the hate for the TUBliss?

Sorry a little off topic but what are the issues the riders were having? I just bought a Berg with them in front and rear and seem to like them so far. Little worried about the lower pressure and wrecking the rims but they seem to be holding up fine. I love the rocks and just rode Webster and part of radical hill until we hit snow but they seem to be holding up great so far.

randys held up last year for what he rode and mine has held up so far, last year and this year..colins rim sucked, and Ryan had too much rim strip..it has all made me a firm believer that everything can and will break, pack the right tools and attitude, and deal with it as best as possible..i do still like the low psi at times..
