1982 Yamaha XT 550. 5 MBOL bit it's still a nice bike. Been playing up recently in the carburetter department so that's another thing on the list.

(can't seem to add a pic :()

thumpers

Got a few years beyond 25 going.

I have been riding these since they were new. Oh yeah, I ride XS650's from the 70's too.
My newest bike is a 96 XR6 but the longtime rides are my 92 and 91 xr600's. I sold my 82 500 xr 1 1/2 years ago...
Still running strong with no smoke and never dis assembled. It's those squeeky drum brakes that made me do it.
Besides with three white bikes the red was the odd man out.

Keeps me in the "fiddling with bikes" mode as they each take their turn "needing" something done.

Should be able to go for a ride most any time unless you wanna travel across country

The BSA

And the Triumph

She vibrates darn near as much as a single if not more!

And the white brothers...

I have to ride all these old bikes...
I don't have any new bikes...

I just keep them running and they are great compared to new bikes made of plastic with the styling that they think us americans want. (and the americans bought into it)

Still flogging the '77 XT500 I bought for $400 back in '09. Rode 600 miles over Memorial Day weekend in the mountains of WV and VA, just did a 130 mile dual-sport ride in PA this past Sunday.

Here's my 1989 Yamaha TW200. I found it on Craigslist with about 500 miles on it and bought it to get back into riding. She was bone stock when I got her and I've done a bunch of the more popular bolt-on farkles. She has a few stablemates now but I still ride her quite a bit.

I traded a '81 Kawasaki 550LTD for something a little newer earlier this year, a '83 Yamaha XT550. Love those old bikes. It is a lot more fun to ride and it is smoother on the highway. Plus I can go trail riding!
