My 2002 Sportster 1200C amongst those waiting to pull out for Rolling Thunder 2012 and a pic from Virginia Beach. No significant customization. But I truly love this bike and have logged many trips and miles on it.

Simply beautiful. I love the flat black look, not on all bikes but this one looks excellent. Nice bike!

What do you do when a guy comes in wanting a "New" Sportster with FAT laced wheels, a spring seat, springer front end, minnie-apes, saddle bags, 4.5 gal. tank, V&H Pipes and a Super Sucker with a race tune?" You build him one!!!

Yeah, that's a neat setup, Dakez.
That's the kind of customer you want to see walking in the house.

Yep, easy money and everything comes from the H-D parts bin except for the seat.

The seat is HD... The pipes are V&H. The Springer is Pacho...

$21k and change invested in it. It is what he wanted. He is happy. Paid cash and would not even look at the bike until it was completely done.

Dakez, do the seat posts get locktite treatment from the factory? I'm having a devil of a time getting mine off to put on that same brown springer seat. Maybe I need to get it up on a lift rather than trying to remove it with a wrench under the fender and the Torx in the post.

Not "locktite" But they should have a small amount of a weak thread lock compound. You should not be having trouble though.

Correction! I'd say NASTY, and I mean that in the best possible way!!!

What did she start as? Did you do all the work yourself? That looks GREAT.
