Jerry...don't mess with us this way!

Though I've only known you for a couple of years and have been on a couple of rides with you [HNF 2010 and Sam's N MS Ride] I've grown to enjoy your company and I don't believe all that stuff that Woodsrat or BigDog says about you {well... maybe just a little]. Looking forward to riding with you again in the fall HNF 2012 ride.

Wait wait wait..... Ive grown a bit confused about what is going on..... according to tpar's sig klrs are indestructible since theh will be around after ww3. Ww3 is a bit worse than a truck. Is he lying to us? Also if thats still the case he needs to change it to cock roaches, klrs, and road dad.

What is the hnf ride?

I believe the building is a replica of the Parthenon built for a Worlds Fair.

Thats what you get when you try and make a KLR run better

But in all seriousness, you made out really well!

Buy it back and let Bones have it and make a tank out of it.

Some people try to turn back their odometers.
Not me! I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

RoadDad's annual guided tour of southern Indiana, usually in the Hoosier National Forest. Since this year will be the sixth edition of this little gathering it's fast becoming a fall classic and a must on your ADV dance card.

I agree with the idea of buying it back from the insurance company and bringing it back to life. I've seen frames bent worse than that straightened and actually made better than new. It would make for a great thread--"RoadDad: Back From the Grave." No sense in parting out a perfectly good motorbike.

So what are you going to buy and ride in the meantime???

Wow! Scary title, Jerry! Thank God you are ok. Looks like that incident could've gone the other way very easily. The driver of the pickup that turned in front of you should be charged with attempted vehicular homicide IMO.

Rest easy buddy, get healed up soon, and use the experience to be even more cautious when riding in traffic with your next motorcycle. As we all know there are some dangerous assed drivers out there every day, and there's no way to tell which ones they are untill it's too late.

Everyone ride safe out there. And always expect the unexpected.

Jerry, ....Glad to hear you were not seriously injured!! After reading the title of this thread I instantly rembered meeting you and Wayne at that Dairy Queen in Tn and then enjoying dinner with you guys again that evening in Corinth, Ms. My heart sank for a second or two until I read the rest of the first post.
I wish you a fast recovery and hope to see you this fall at your ride.

Brad

Hope you don't mind, but I updated the thread title a little. Like many others, I thought you were in a fatal crash and someone else was posting.

Glad you are OK. Sorry about the bike.
