As our USFS riding partner said, "The trail fairies have visited". The morning sun shone on 60-70 down trees that were in pieces by sunset. Thanks to 8 hours of hard work by a great crew.

While Norris Creek was crossable, nobody made it back to the truck with dry socks.

Amanda, I got your link. Great pictures. I thought this one told the best story of the day. Some pic's are going to get sent to the local paper in Walden for a short story on the trail fairies.

Since we came in from the South, I didn't ride all the way down to the bottom of Red Canyon, since I would have to come back up the horrible ledges. Instead, we parked at the top and hiked to the bottom, cutting a few annoying trees along the way.

Had a great time this weekend!!

I wore the chainsaw backpack yesterday, and I had to re-learn how to ride! Feels like someone is pushing your shoulders all over the place!

Yeah, I really don't like the packs. Aside from the pain in the back, it's a big hassle to have to "assume the position" for getting the saw out & putting it away. I should have left the other front carrier. Since the latest mods seemed to work well, I'll get the other three carriers put together with similar mods.

Did you guys get all the way thru the North end?

Assuming the position wasn't too bad... Atleast Gene and Ben were gentle

I had to bail a little early as I had to be back in FC by 5:30 and I left about 7.5 miles up the atv track, but 4 of them were going to continue on to finish up the last bit, so I would assume it's all done.

The middle picture is the ledge I'm talking about. I went around the right side and Dennis rode the go around to the left. I think the next time I ride there I'll ride my KTM 250 2 stroke instead of my heavy KTM 450 and try to ride up the main ledge. I'll try to think I'm in Moab on Pritchard Canyan heading south.

There is a total ride around on that ledge. For the right price, I'll show you. I'm signed up to lead a 2-day ride there in September.
