What's the usual time between overhauls on an NP rifle (if there is an average TBO)?

Dunno, never heard or read about one. Gas rams are a relatively new technology; they've only started to become widespread in the last two years or so. I suspect there still aren't enough of them on the market, and those which are haven't failed in any notable quantity yet.

Theoben in the UK have been making them since the late 80's. From memory the Weihrauch HW90 was a new design air rifle that had a gas ram in it from design stage. That it was in the early 90's. Hay Ewe

To spend that amount of money I'd have to have one hell of a squirrel problem. Beautiful rifles though and must be a real pleasure to shoot with an adjustable 2-stage trigger.

I might be able to rationalize the HW90 somehow, though.

I have no idea about the reactive target, but suspect it may be too heavy to react to a little .177 pellet. But, it should have no problem with paper, backed or not, unless you were shooting at 100 yards or something. See if it looks like this one. If so it'll take care of business if you do your part and it's functioning correctly.

The Irony
Over on the biggest airgun forum, someone asked "What motorcycle should I buy"?
http://www.network54.com/Forum/41725...+advice+please I guess we tend to depend upon our favorite web site to ask opinions about anything and everything.

FWIW, some people (not me) apparently have problems with grackles, starlings, etc. and use airguns to eliminate them. In this hobby, people kill everything from flies and grasshoppers to wild pigs with air rifles. This thread has already gone too far afield, so I won't debate you on the ethics or humanity of killing things, big or small. BTW, my favorite targets are Necco candy wafers and little green army men!
