Is a big no no. Just google BPA. Heating the can releases large? amounts of it from the plastic lining of the can. The effects are varied depending on what report you read but I wouldnt risk it. Better to put the contents into saucepan and heat.

So I did. Apparently it mimics oestrogen. Might see if I can get a bit more of it into the missus. Hopefully perk things up a bit.

Jeeez, ya can't turn telly on nowadays without something really tasty or alcoholic becoming all of a sudden lethal.

OH Fark...

This might explain the appearance of the opinionated Arsehole growing off my left shoulder these days.

Sidetrack Bob Grylls here! I wasnt aware of that to be honest, had a look around, general consensus on the hiking forums is as long as you are not eating every meal like this, all good
Been back to SA yet Woody

Just trying to get a freebie in case you did
Wouldn't mind trying it but no outlets in WA and can't be bothered ordering online.

That's awesome Seano
I started off on my trip with mostly just quick cook flavoured rice and cous cous with either tinned tuna or chicken. But it got boring very fast. I used to make dehydrated meals for hiking much like Jane does but now I am on the road constantly (more or less) I can't do that. I also can't afford to buy the dehydrated meals continuously.
I use a small titanium burner on a butane canister and love the heat control it has. It has allowed me to start getting creative and it's only going to get better (and stranger) this time round. I am thinking of getting a small biomass stove as well now that I am getting bigger panniers. I love my food lol.
Here is a post about cooking on the road that I did on my blog: http://www.adventureriding.com.au/2012/07/camp-cooking/
