Tree hint

I am no insurance expert but living through many hurricanes has taught me that a fallen tree must hit a "structure" before insureance will pay for its removal. So make sure at least a limb lands on a fence or shed if you want insureance to pay for it. My experence any way.

When I moved in around 1983 we had 17 trees in the back. Now only one. A pine I planted when my grandaughter was born 12 years ago. I prefer the sun and grass over the shade and billions of acrons....

What else can we bitch about...

Good advice. I'll continue on the trees and bitch about how all the fallen leaves discolor everything they land on as soon as they get wet. Or how the chinky exhaust springs for my new exhaust pulled apart when I tried installing them last night.

Live oaks... This tree is pretty big... Note that the bar on my saw is 36" in that first pic. It wouldnt make it half way through the trunk, and only HALF that tree fell over...

I love cutting them up but hate when they fall in my yard.

Lots of that one still there, and I've got 20 gallons of two stroke mixed up for the big saw :buzz

That's great advise, but poor white treasure like me don't got no insurance. Allstate dropped me for no reason after 15+ years of paying & never filing a claim. When I tried to get some elsewhere it cost 3X as much. BTW, my property is at 100ft above sea level.

Hang in there Rob.

Life is like a pendulum. It "will" swing back towards good things for you buddy.

Rob, sorry to hear about your troubles...sometimes when it rains it pours! Don't let the bastards get you down (or illegitimi non carborundum, as my Latin professor would say) and keep on keepin on mang!

My homeowner's insurance gave me a non-renewal notice after I made a fairly substantial claim for Hurricane Ivan, and I had a helluva time finding somebody to insure me after that. And then when I did find a company that would write me, they wanted documentation from my vet certifying that my Charlie Dog was not an APBT mix! The conversation went something like this:
You have pets?

Yep, a dog and two cats.

What kinda dog?

A mutt.

What kinda mutt?

The Charlie Dog kind.

What is he mixed with?

Dunno; he's a Heinz 57 I reckon. Got him from the pound.

What's he look like?

Looks like a Charlie Dog; he's white with black splotches.

Does he look like a pit bull?

Nope, he looks just like a Charlie Dog.

What would your vet say he's mixed with?

Dunno, never asked.

Well just get your vet to fax us his opinion on what kinda mixed breed dog ya have, and we'll go from there.

My beagle had a muzzle shaped similar to that. He had teeth in his too.
