A "Plank Owner" is a Navy / Marinier term for an memeber of the crew assigned to the ship at it's point of commissioning. Thus, you were around when this thread was kicked off so...... you are a Plank Owner!

Thanks for the concise explanation. I figured Pcola was a Navy town and all knew what a plank owner was... well now you do.

At least the Navy guy knew!

BTW I do not consider myself a plank owner.... too late posting. Mug, Inept, Hatch (now), Madhouse, are the real plank owners.

I will bet riding is perfect right now at Eglin.... just can't go...

Aye Mister,
Tention to muster!
A plank owner here sayin this place is where to get the scuttlebutt worth a damn.
Now hear this:
All you anchor clankers and crab crushers beware the polliwogs and shellbacks that infest this port.

The smoking lamp is out.
Left full rudder, all ahead standard.
Put that plank back where you found it and no eating gedunks in the sack.
And next time your caught pullin on your pud in the shower, it's captains mast for your candy ass. That excuse that "its your pud and you can wash it as fast as you want to" aint gone cut it mister.
That is all.

Attention on Deck! Attention on Deck! Battle Stations!

Damn the torpedoes, full speed the fuck outta here!

And the most remembered of all Navy sayings "Me so horney.... me love you long long time."

Rig for dive!

Make your depth trivial, 10 posts down bubble, bearing nautical nonsense, at 15 knots.

Glad to see you jumped right in with some serious posts. You notice we stick to strictly riding posts and never waver to side line discussions.

But seriously we get crazy while waiting for the weekend when rides start to develop and then later the reports come in.

Waiting to see what the weather does for this weekend before deciding where to ride.

Too quiet in here.

I took a quick ride this evening through Blackwater and Conecuh NF to the old bridge. Chased a coyote pup for 100 yards or so in Blackwater, that was a first for me.

Just ordered a new S12, sprockets, chain and other freshen up parts for the 530. Once they are mounted, I will be riding with you Brett.

We were talking about BW today... how is the dust up there, or is it muddy. Wondering what to plan for this weekend.

I dont know if Karick lake campground would be full this weekend since it is near the 4th. Was thinking about going up for one a night and riding BW again.
