yeah bro...
the more you buy spares for your bike the more youll find out that there are a million intercheangeable parts between bikes bearings is about the most common part. notice however that only 2 or 3 out of those forks/bikes are usds... in any case... internet is your friend for finding out the good easy swaps... cheers man |

All of 'em?
Could be, I'm not that at home in this matter. Anyway, I've seen plenty of topics over the years of people asking what years CR forks would be a direct fit etc. this atleast gives some closure to those questions. It just doesn't belong in a USD topic then, sorry 'bout that !

not all
again 2 or 3, the point os that the only straigt swap is a cr500 cr125 of certain years...they are very crude usd's and in my opinion not un upgrade except for the fact thay you have less mass moving up and down, and they are stiffer as is common of usds vs. conventionals... cheers dudes! p.s. the more info the merrier, and thee forums are what manuals lack... just wait a few minutes and steve or somebody gives you the answer! cant tell ou ho many times I had a wrench in my hand waiting and all if a sudden I have my answer and back to the bike... awesome stuff for sure! christian |

I do need stiffer springs btw.
so after an awesome ride yesterday I have come to the conlcusion(only after riding and hour or so and getting the fork oil hot) that I do need one or 2 steps up on the fork springs rate...
I am told that stock 2002 cr250r forks are either .44kg or .45kg so I would need .46 or .47kg rated springs... when cold my static sag was perfect...about 40mm, woith me on it was 65mm... when the bike warmed up though and the suspension had some good action under it my static sag increased 10mm and another 5mm with me on it overall soooooo thats it fork mod wise for me cheers |

So how about going to the next heavier weight oil first and see what changes that makes?

interest in usd swap lately BUMP!
Seems to be some xrl guys interested in a usd swap so thought Id bump this up with a little info
I added 10cc's per leg of 10weight maxima oil to help prevent bottoming out and to help with counteracting a little too much sag, which takes a whike getting used to in the end this swap rocks and Im so happy I did this suspension first engine mods after! cheers |

Hi BP, Do you still have the CRF USD front ends for sale? I'm really keen on the conversion for my 93, XR600R but honestly don’t really know where to start, a full on conversion set seems pretty sweet to me. Would it be a complete drop in with what you got? Is there anything else i would need to get to complete the conversion. Sorry for the noobie questions. Thanks. JK
