I bet. It's a great area for riding. Never been in that part of Yosemite and surroundings with a bike though ...

I just got my 85 Vmax back from my dad after I swapped him for his FJR for about a week. And after almost everyday being close to triple digits I'm soooo glad to have my unfaired bike back. That FJR was like riding in a convection oven. As for the being wore out after a day in the saddle, get a gym membership and go build up your core then you won't be as tired at the end of the day.

I've done multiple 500+ mile days, some of them at very high rates of speed "on an enclosed racetrack"....

I did just add a Double Bubble screen, but haven't tried it out yet. I'm still repairing crash damage from a couple weeks ago. I'll test it out in a couple weeks and let you know...

I have sold off all of my "proper" touring bikes and am left with my Street Triple R. I have taken it on one long weekend trip so far. I used a tank bag and a couple Kriega bags. I was easily able to bring enough clothes for 4-5 days, a laptop, camera and all the other essentials. I enjoyed the ride and even managed a day of boring Interstate riding on it without much difficulty. I'm planning on ordering a set of these to help for longer rides.

I will be looking for a sport touring bike again either this fall or next year, as soon as I can get my new job schedule to a place where I have the time for extended rides again. In the mean time, it will be "naked touring" for me.

Thanks, yeah I've only seen two '94's (Black) on the road, never another '95. Its a hoot, stable, comfortable, fast when it needs to be, basically its a Honda.

Touring on a naked bike is doable, touring on a Speed Triple is even easier! It depends as much on you as it does the bike.

Where are your exhausts on the 1st pic? I swear they're not there.

I love it! Wish I could convince my wife to do the same! How is touring on the Fighter S? I'm really interested in the 848 fighter, if nothing more than to save some $$.

What kind of cases are those and how do you have them mounted? I am planning a similar trip on my SV1000n and could use some solid luggage.

Great looking setup! I wish I could find a low mount exhaust for this very reason. Do you know of anybody that makes a commercially made setup to add bags to a Speed Triple? I'm thinking a Giant Loop Coyote or something similar would be the best solution if I can't weld up my own system.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm pretty lucky. She's a gamer. We're getting ready for a 2,800 mile trip this coming August. Heading from the Bay Area to Victoria. Can't wait.

The streetfighter is surprisingly comfy to tour on. The 848 from what I've heard is a little more comfortable since the bars are set a bit higher. I'll know soon enough. Pretty sure that's the wife's next bike.

2300 mile trip I did earlier this month from Baltimore, up thru Eden NY, back across PA Rt 6 and up thry NY/VT/NH into ME. 7-9hr days, last day 15hrs. Only mod I found I needed was some bar risers. Highway rides only on the 1st and last day... sure would like to do more than one of these trips a year...

This pic of the Kazoo factory in Eden NY- old fashioned lineshaft shop still making kazoos, now as a nonprofit giving the jobs to mentally challenged/disabled adults.
