As promised, Mr. Egg is in Ash Grove Missouri


Since it's Sunday. I took Eggy to a local country church just south of Ash Grove


I then took Mr. Egg down Route 66 to Paris Springs Missouri (just a few miles off I-44 between Joplin and Springfield).


I spoke with Gary who owns this 100 year old service station. He gave me permission to store Eggy in the cab of this old oil truck


This is where he is located today.

Paris Springs Missouri

W 093 degrees 40.758

Gary has his Route 66 Filling Station display open daily. He is a very friendly guy and said nobody ever opens the truck but was ok with my placing it there and ADV opening the cab to retrieve. The cache can be found at the base of the drivers side seat.

Apologies, folks... I tried to post pics on Tuesday but the thru-put at McD's just wasn't up to the task... and today is the first wi-fi I've had as I been traveling. Some of youse know what that is...

The problem is the URLs you've put in your IMG tags aren't URLs for images, but rather goofy javascript generated pages that include an image along with a whole bunch of non-image crap. You need to link to the image file itself, like {IMG}https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-gqM2KUcaC1w/T-hqhGkm0HI/AAAAAAAASAM/I_25UxEZdsU/s820/IMG_7094.JPG{/IMG}:

Google doesn't make that easy to do, as best as I can tell you've got to open each page in your browser, right click and select "open image in new tab", and extract the correct URL from the address bar for the new tab. Way too much work IMO, so I'd recommend hosting your images elsewhere. Smugmug & Photobucket both seem to work well here.

On.mobile browsers that is the only way I have found to use Picassa, however from a desktop browser it provides several choices for imbedding an image. Overall I've been pleased with the free picture hosting service.

I luve Eggy's new "parking spot", very creative...

And thanks for the Google Picasa tips, guys,,, I use the "image location" url a lot for other stuff, will use it here from now on...

ST-Owners let's ya upload from yur own 'puter and then stores the shots, that's a good thing tho it takes a lot of memory. Down side, other folks gotta be subscribed there to see'em. I'm real happy with Picasa's service, and it lets me upload once and use the album url to let folks see'em from lots of different forums.

Hope Eggy stays happy,,, I'll carry him again soon.

(I gotta add, I'm in North Georgia right now, headed up toward the NC/TN line today to move the STOC National Tag which is currently at Deal's Gap Resort... Not sure where I'll move it TOO, but it's gonna move. Two more days of freedom before I'm back in the harness, figuratively speaking... Saturday, back to Moonshine for 'burger #13. Then on to my son's place in Aurora, IL, followed by Minneapolis, then Watertown, SD and Spearfish, SD before heading home. I won't have an opportunity to go get Eggy again this trip so someone needs roll some miles. If yur not burning gas and killing bugs, yur not having fun.
