Combination Switch wire colors -> KTM Wiring Loom Dark Green -> (not connected to any wires on the KTM side) Black -> Green w/Yellow Dashes Light Green -> Brown w/Violet Stripe Light Blue -> Blue w/Black Stripe Orange -> Blue w/Red Stripe Gray -> Green w/Brown Stripe Blue -> White w/yellow dashes White -> Yellow Yellow -> Green w/Red Stripe & GRAY [tie the green w/red stripe to the gray, then connect to the yellow] If you're hooking up a TrailTech Headlight, here is what works TT Wires -> KTM Wiring Loom Pink -> Green Black -> Brown Yellow -> Blue If you're hooking up a TrailTech Computer, here is what works TT unit -> KTM Wiring Loom Green -> Yellow w/Blue Stripe Orange -> Brown w/Red Stripe [These two are for the Fuel Indicator, which must use a standard Bulb, the LED does not work with this setup] Blue -> Violet -> Lt Green Black -> Brown -> Lt Blue [These two are for the HI-LO headlight indicator ] Black -> White Black -> Orange [Use the existing light, as there is a chip on the end of this setup] Lt Green -> Violet -> Lt Green Black -> Black [These are for the Turn Signal Indicator] NOTE: If you want to use a LED light for the Turn Signal indicator, you MUST use a DIODE (part # 276-1114) from Radio Shack, inline with the Violet and Black wires, one Diode on each wire, with the Anode facing the KTM Wiring loom, and the cathode facing the light. Tie the two wires AFTER the diodes together so that each signal will go to the LED light. Then tie the other end of the wire to a Brown wire, to create the ground loop. This has worked very well. Soon, I'll have a schematic up on how to do this.... cheers

13T countershaft wear issues
I need all the boys running a 13T countershaft sprocket to chime in on wear issues on the swing arm pivot an slide bar. At my current rate of wear I will be cutting into the swingarm shortly. Any thoughts/solutions? I like the 13t and have a 50T on the rear and still can get to 90mph.

Flat black was all that was available. Being that the RMAR is coming up, i need some longer range, so this tank is it. As for fitting, it seems to be ok. I mean, its a dirt bike that takes a lot of falls and crashes, so lines aren't that important to me, i suppose. Now on a street bike, yeah, it needs to line up right.

I ended up going with 118 links on the chain. It seems like it will work good, I have the axle adjusted a little more than half way closer to the front of the bike. I figure this is good cause when the chain stretches I can adjust the axle back. I think I remember reading something about having as much wheelbase as possible with the pds non linkage suspension. If the chain stretches to much I'll just take another link off. I am running 14 49 combo. I'm finally ready to get this thing in the dirt!!!

Ya I forgot to mention I got a exc.
Also does anybody have detailed instructions on how to flip the rocker shafts? I am scared of the "mechanics" at my local dealership, I have the service manual. But I'm wondering if anybody has done this themselves? Thats my last thing and I'm ready to rock!! JP |

3 weeks after I purchased the bike I yanked the 17 in street set up and replaced it with the dirt combo that came with the bike.
It was an easy project but did take some time. The longest part being the sprocket and rotors being removed and installed on the other rims. I was looking to make it strictly a quick wheel swap . I have the stock 45 cause I went up to 48 and got some Moose Racing rotors. The last step is $19.00 worth of bolts that I hope to get this week. The rotors are a stock replacement but look different. I wanted to know if there was a performance difference as well? Is one style of rotor better than the other?
