Hell yeah! I was a huge Mike V fanboy as a kid. I always wanted one of his elephant decks but never had a chance to grab one when I was needing a new skateboard. I even missed out on the reproductions recently. Oh well.

Yeah, I know the feeling, I have an old ray barber deck, jinx, cab and a few others. Wall mount stuff but fun to look at and recall the old days

Coming back over Sonora pass (9000ft+) when this van stops in front of us and drops a few guys off. We head on and stop after about a half mile so I could get some shots, he took the corner about 30-35 and saw me and pulled a sweet slide for the camera. Bunch of kids road tripping from tx!

Great shot! Longboarders still turn my head around here. There are a few guys that commute on 'em to the NCSU campus from nearby apartments.

I'm 48, my wife turned 44 today, we are getting Sector 9 Long Boards on Friday. I have not skated since I was 13 or so, and we WORE OUT pools, parks, pipes, and ramps.
Can not wait. Barry

Got my Earthwing Supermodel today. I'm in my 40's. While I haven't been on a board in 25+ years it was fantastic to roll out the front door again. There were a couple of sketchy moments but it's all coming back quickly.

![]() Y'all are going to break a hip. Had always dreamed about having a pool when I was a kid. Drained ours a few years ago to replaster it and had to show the kid how it was done. Didn't work out as planned. ![]() . |

X-rays or it didn't happen.
![]() I just got my first long board a couple of months ago. A) it's great for chasing my kids around B) it prevents me from showing them how "we did it back in the day" and then having to ride with dad in the ambulance.

Can't skate or ski - lousy at it. Tried it way back with the metal wheels, then the clay wheels, the poly wheels, still lousy, but its cool, whatever the age.
But about 10 years ago I saw this in San Francisco. A guy on a board coming down a hill at about 20 mph, neither looking left or right nor preparing in any way he goes right through a red light intersection, threading just after and just before an on-coming car with no change to his straight line, neither driver saw him so there was no car drama. The guy's expression or posture didn't change one bit through the whole episode, just completely blase...and for some reason he was carrying from his right arm a light weight dining chair, like those they used for lion taming. |

![]() on a different note, saw some cool bamboo boards at the local shop, not quite long board but way long for a street board, crazy concave and so light! might have to indulge, been loving the loaded deck, but I needs me a kicktail at times

This was posted recently in the dragon failure thread. Hope it's not a repost in here.
I have two sector 9 long boards that I've had over 10 years. Used to let the dog pull me on them when he was younger and still use one to ride a couple of blocks from work for lunch often. And if I have to admit that I'm over 40 then I will.
