He's from Michigan. Prolly the only state to compete with Florida for lowest number of turns.

As they say in Florida: "11 turns in 318 miles."

Michigan's not so bad if you know where to go. Ohio's mostly straight line until you get to where the glacier stopped down south by the Ohio River. The reason for the straight roads was that they were surveyed as the Northwest Territory before many settlers came. So most roads follow section lines. Many of the exceptions in MI are those roads that follow old Indian and wagon trails and rivers.
