Answers.....to new questions....
1. Fuel Stops. When? Where? Fuel distance needed? If we take 1,000 miles and divide it by 7 days, we end up with about 143 miles per day. I am still finalizing the routes, but everyone should expect our short day to be about 110-120 miles, where the long day will be more around 175-180 miles. It has been my recommendation that a bike have a 'comfortable' fuel range of at least 150 miles. As I look at the tentative routes, I see.......a mid-day fuel opportunity every day. I would recommend that each rider have the ability to carry 4 gallons of fuel. 2. Water. Every day, you should have the opportunity to top off your Camelbak or water container at a fuel stop and/or at our evening camp stop. You should not need a water filter (although I own one and will bring it). 3. Food. At best, I can guarantee a Conveniece Store for daily rations. Some of the evening stops will afford restaurants for breakfast and dinner. I will be carrying a small camp stove, where I will be able to cook dehydrated meals, when I need them. For lunch, we need to be quick and light......energy/protein bars are a good choice.....and will probably be consumed trailside. Over the next two weeks, I will collect motel/cabin options and passing them on via email. John 3.

We have arrived at 14 Riders for the CAM1000. We have riders from Texas to New Hampshire to California & Nebraska/Kansas....as well as a handful from Colorado.
We feel that a good number is 20-25 riders, so there is still room. If you are interested, please complete the registration process. John .....

The BIG TICKET

Sent money by PayPal, mailing both forms later today. I'll be driving from Alabama on the 29th stopping halfway and continuing to Colorado Springs on the 30th. I'm coming early to tweak jetting and acclimate a bit to the elevation, I live at 200ft. If someone in between wants to truck-pool etc. let me know.
