Found A 29 Year Old
Had been sitting covered in a garage since 1990. One owner 1983 KZ 1100A3. Starts right up but won't idle. Have ordered the rebuild kits for the carbs, put on new tires. The rear shocks and forks still hold air.

I remember seeing these new at the dealership, but don't recall them looking quite as good as yours. That's an awesome find!

Great find. Funny, just the other day another one of these was put by the side of the road during the day with a for sale in the same shape and same color, but with 15k more miles. Up close they are really nice bikes and the shaft drive is a great bonus.

I worked at a Kawasaki dealer when those were new. We never sold even one. If someone wanted shaft drive, and there weren't many, they bought a Suzuki. We sold lots of GPZ's, 1000J's, and KZ1000/1100R's. It's nice to see one so road worthy.
Definitely a keeper.

That's lovely.
Don't forget to at least flush and change the brake fluid and perhaps replace those brake lines. Then put some miles on that old girl.

Nice! Hope you didn't pay a boat load for it. Looks like it was garage kept or stored in a vacuum.

Well, I'm riding a 23 yo K75, no complaints! May take a few hundred dollars to bring her back, but she'll serve you well!
