One would think
once you have made it to this level, you would know better than to stick your fingers in a moving front wheel......
Determined, if not a bright move. Must be the Scandy's don't have playing cards. I did not realize that this would be the first time a green wellie won the overall tour. I am surprised by that. Must have been putting all their effort into Eddie the Eagle. Wow, that is two countries winning for the first time in two straight years. I know I am counting eggs and not chickens, but it is pretty unlikely that they both will drop back now. One of them has to win.

And today's fangate:Philip Gilbert involved in crash caused by loose dog.
Looks like a giant Newfie running on the road caused the crash. Stupid owners/parents. Gilbert went after them and a poor little girl had to experience that because she has dumb parents. WTF?

Phenomenal speed! Pretty sure he'd love four in a row on the Champs Elysee.

I know it has been said, but the SKY team is nothing short of remarkable. That has to be one of the best teams ever put together for the tour. There was really no strategic drama this year; they just made the law and adjudicated it all month at will.
Poor Hinault looks like the tide may never turn back. There is not even a frenchie in sight of the front. I get a kick out of his commentary. A great rider, whom I am sure must be considered a doper for being a force in his time by many. Rolland is a great rider, but it seems he is not going to be elite. The SKY team will most likely be back in strong fashion. That young lad from the US is going to be a force when surrounded by a strong cadre. Cadel is still strong, may be a different look if he had not gotten the bug. Andy will be back.... The fellows from Spain and Italy. Doesn't look good for the home field advantage in the near future either. I am still shaking my head about Cav, that was just amazing. He is still wicked fast... and I thought Sagan might be edging in there. Nope...

Cavendish is an unbelievable sprinter. He monitored his output for 5 hrs knowing exactly what to save for the sprint. He knew he had it the whole time. Domination by sky this year.

I like the commercial with the kid on the Specialized. I think it captures what many of us thought at that age. I grew up in Racine, Wi. Most all of the east/west roads are downhill towards Lake Michigan from several miles out from the lake. I used to ride out west just to do the power run in towards the lake.
