Open? - Hagg Lake via Browns Camp

In September I am coming up to Oktoberfest the long way. For part of the ride I am looking to ride Jordan Creek to Hagg Lake via Browns Camp. I got the stretch between JC and Browns no problem. However I am not sure if the way is blocked/gated between Browns and Hagg once you leave the Tillamook Forest. It has been several years since I have ridden that stretch.

If anyone has knowledge if it is open and could let me know I would be grateful.

Here is the route in question:
Google Map
Between E and F.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Scoggin Valley Rd is gated and closed the few times I've tried to go down it. I live very close to Hagg Lake.

OK. Thanks. Guess I will have to exit at Rodgers and take HWY 6 :-(

Good to know ahead of time though.

Thanks again.

The route you chose used to be a good one. I have ridden it many times. But several years ago Stimson lumber, who owns it, closed at all public travel. You could go from Jones Creek south to Nestucca and go into hag Lake from the South.

Thanks for the update on the gate Rick... I was afraid of that. If you Google Satelite it you can see all the clear cut so I thought it might be on Lumber Lock Down :(

jjdun7, I am interested, but Jones Creek is North of the 6 and Nestucca( NF 85?) is pretty far south. Hagg is not the destination, just a landmark. Really want to spin the Vstrom Wheels around the old stomping ground of Browns. Coming up the coast then then starting at Jordan Creek I was looking for a back road exit from browns to get get me heading east towards Oktoberfest (Mt Angel). A Cross, Lyda, C-Line and of course the powerlines are some of my old favorites I want to hit. Only issue seems to be getting out of the Tillamook forest heading east to west without having to take the 6 or back track pretty far. Any big bike friendly exit from the forest short of taking the 6 is my goal.

Thanks
