Intake noise
Hi guys!
How is the intake noise with the Rottweiler filter? I ask because I have a K&N filter in a superflow box and It barks pretty bad at me between 4000 to 4500 rpm. I can live with it, but always looks for better options. And a K&N filter isn't giving me the confidence when talking about water / mud etc. Oh... I got about 12 more hp's on the rear wheel with this filter plus some dyno time. The filter alone added 7-8. Thanks! |

I'm guessing it would be about the same. Just get past 4500 ASAP
![]() I don't get much noise while cruising down the blacktop (in that range) but then again, I wear earplugs

Oh - there is more noise than stock that's for sure.
However, I've been riding off road for the last 3 days without earplugs and there is more noise but not unbearable. |

I am considering this mod but wondered about riding for extended periods in rain ?
Being that the filter is oiled should prevent water from saturating the filter ?

Intake noise
So, today when I was riding, I played around with the intake noise. It me, it's the loudest when you have the throttle wide open. If you are just riding down a flat road at 4000 - 5000 in 4th or 5th then you don't even hear the intake. Drop a gear or two and open it up and you will hear some noise.

CPR Filter
I'm not happy with the sound. It sounds like your moms Caprice with the breather lid upside down.

New Base Plate
Received a new base plate for the CPR filter last week
![]() ![]() ![]() Looks stronger. The crankcase breather hole has changed it's location as well as the temperature sensor. Now, I just need to a day free to install it |

The old ones needed to be modified to fit if you still had the linkage of 2nd throttle in place.
The new one has also improved strengh. CPR gave a offer for a new base plate only for the transport costs if you had a base plate received before a certain date I received mine yesterday
