Best replacement for discontinued Zumo 550?

My wife was ready to buy a Zumo 550, but we are no longer able to find any new. So, we're wondering what the best choice is among the 220, 350LM, and 660. The 220 is a whole lot less money, but the screen is pretty small. The reviews of the 350LM and 660 don't seem to be quite as good as feedback on the 550 was.

We've got Scala riders, so bluetooth performance is important, and we'll be mounting it to a BRP Spyder with a Kewlmetal bracket, as shown.

Used on e-bay

Looks like Zumo 550's are going used on e-bay for between $400 and $500. Also might check on reconditioned from Garmin.

+1 on a refurbished unit. My 1st 478 was the last new Garmin I will ever buy.

We've hunted high and low for a 550 refurb they aren't out there. All we've found is a bunch of used ones on Ebay and Amazon, most going for more than a new unit.

Have you asked Garmin Customer Support if they have a 550 refurb you could purchase? Might be a possibility.

As for Bluetooth I have the 660 and use it with a Sena BT headset. It usually works, but sometimes doesn't. Often I have to cycle the headset power before it will work. Sometimes I can hear 660 prompts but music on the 660 won't play to the Sena. Sometimes I have to remove the battery in order to get it to work.

I've returned the 660 twice for replacement and the refurbs they have sent will usually have similar, but slightly different problems. The latest seems to forget the music and data on the memory card. After a power cycle or batter R&R it will pop up asking about the New Data that it found. Geez.

Unfortunately, it seems that with all these nags the Garmin is still the best thing out there for bikes. Just wish the engineers there were more interested in fixing existing code than developing new products.

I had a 550 before upgrading to the 665, it's definitely not perfect but head and shoulders above the 550. Especially if you use the Bluetooth function.
