To me the journey is the adventure. the destination or rally is only where I end up.

Yep.
This gig is merely an excuse to go have fun with a bunch of 9x0 riders.
The journey there, and the journey back home is going to be really fun.
So far, there's 14 of us storming the dirty roads to Bend

I'm definitely in and signed up , probably leaving Thursday as well. I'd love to do a dirt route rather than slab it though.

After riding to Moto gp via Eurika. I'm thinking about pounding the pavement up hwy 1. If I find dirt on the way up that's a bonus. At least the weather will be cool on hwy 1. Maybe I can meet up with a group on the way up.

I'm coming from Clovis Thursday, what direction you headed? Straight up, or up the coast?

I figure if I head up the coast it's a two day ride and will leave Wednesday.
Anyone camping? I'm figuring on dragging my gear and finding a campground..........

Bend or Bust !!

Bend or Bust !!
Update:
Tuesday Night (Sept 11th) Backyard Tent Camping/BBQ/campfire on my 5 acres near Hood River,
and the Wed & Thur "Edge of Wilderness DIRT RIDE", and Forest "nowhere" tent camping Wed & Thur nights.
We are camping stealth, no showers, no frills, and no $, except for gas/food/booze.

We'll also be riding portions of the NW famous original 1854 "Barlow Road"
and Central Oregon's "Santiam Wagon Road" from the 1860's (google them, if you don't know)

The "IN" list........

1) Apple Jam
2) Grinns
3) CJRacer
4) mdfehrmann
5) Ladukebob
6) Cyclops Motorsports
7) Konflict Motorsports
8) hvman
9) cyborg
10) CharlieFox
11) Nut Clutch
12) moto-treks
13) idc22
14) jalal
15) Sapling
16) offworlder
17) Questor
18) Maxaccelleration
19) Bullskin
20) catalina38

I'll PM you all with directions/address a couple of weeks before.
(let me know if I got syntax wrong on your screen names, so PMs will be easy for me)

I think this large group (and more!) will be manageable enough, I know my route well,
and will have tried & true actual GPS (GPX/Garmin) tracks.
I think we'll likely split into 3-5 groups, with a leader for each,
...to keep the caravan (bikavan?) moving more efficiently.

We'll get to the KTM Rally Thursday Evening when Registration starts.
I'll have a VERY close-by forest dispersed campspot picked out,
...so we can get back there early-ish Friday morning

Oh yeah.....

WetFest is the weekend before, and several of us plan to leave from Wenatchee on Sunday.
We'll take portions of the WABDR down to Hood River,
then get to my place early Tuesday evening for a relaxing BBQ and a campfire.
...Then We'll leave Wednesday morning for the dirty two-day trip to Bend

What was wrong with last years? I was there and it was a blast. Went out with pointman for a bunch of rad rides and then hit some of the rubicon on the 990. It does not get any better than that.

What rides did you go on?

I'll be heading to the Bend on from Vancouver, BC. Thinking about taking some dirt down so if anyone is interested ping me on routes.
