Congrats on your new Hornet. They did sell the CB600F Hornet here in the US in the early-to-mid 2000's, don't know when we stopped getting them, but I'm pretty sure Honda doesn't sell them here anymore.

I watch craigslist daily for a good deal on a pre-owned one, it is definitely on my wish list.

I may have to push it back further, as a friend just offered me his pristine '95 VFR750F at a can't-be-refused price.

Very nice! Sad to say, we don't get them over here.

I'd order a fender extender soon, it'll keep a lot of grunge off your engine, headers. This is on a CBF:

Powerbronze fender extender

Nice

Nice bike, rode one in Rome a few years ago and had a blast. The closest thing here is the 919. Where are you from in N. Ireland? I am originally from Newry.

They sold them in the US a few years back. I know of three listed on Craigslist within 100 miles of me right now.

Not this breed of Hornet. It's night and day compared to the older model.

thanks guys!

got about 90 miles on it now! went out for a ride last night to visit friends about 35 miles away and the rain was lashing down the whole way home so my 2 day old bike is now super dirty, itll never be 100% clean again!

sourcing a hugger atm after seeing the amount of water that got sprayed around the shock etc. i like the ermax one atm.

also going to look into a fender extender lol

other things on the shopping list for the near future include

a pipe (asap)
undertray
new indicators
small plate
renthals
seat cowl
new mirrors
verious crash protectors
brighter headlight bulbs
smoked tail light
tank pad
fuel cap cover
levers
