What rallies should be included in ADV Annual Rallies?

Maybe it's time to reconsider RTB? With 2 events under their belt, the organizers (and lots of participants) are looking forward to the third event around Halloween 2012. Tho participation was down slightly to 78 this year, there is no cap, and lots of room for more.

D2D drew 177 riders to Dawson City, Yukon, Canada last June. There are no fees to attend. A poker run, biker dinner, and biker games are only part of the event. D2D was founded in 1992....and going strong.

Not sure what it takes to qualify for "official ADV rally" status but......
I'm gonna guess that 95% of all the riders who show up for D2D are very active on the board.
D2D started with 3 riders in 1992 and hit close to 200 bikes last year.
ADV had everything to do with bringing all those folks up to Dawson City, Yukon.
I am very appreciative of that exposure. Thank you.
2012 marks our 20th anniversary.
Team Pterodactyl and the Gruvers make this event happen every year, only because it's a great time.
This event is North America's "farthest north annual Dual Sport Adventure gathering."
Think about that. Many riders plan their trips to the North to coincide with D2D.
Again, not sure what is required to go "official" but as the last living founder of D2D....
you have my permission. Just don't call it a Rally!
Search D2D in the Alaska regional for all the info.

I am very excited that I am in a position to put in for the time off for this "event." Unfortunately I can't put in the leave until I get to Ft Richardson. So I won't know for sure until late May.

Closest are probably WARPED (Kernville, CA), RMAR (Silverton, CO in 2012) or West Fest (Lake George, CO in 2012).

I am a go for year three with Roll the Bones III at the Circle T in Hamilton, Texas...When can we come into the fold and be a "Real ADV" Rally???
